ARTISTS' STATEMENT
These drawings were made over several years in various sketchbooks at home, in cafes, or on road trips.
Our process usually goes something like this: one of us starts by either making a few small elements or some bigger simple lines to suggest a structure, then we pass it back and forth until we decide its done. There are two rules: no criticizing the other person’s decisions and there is no such thing as a mistake.
Microns, Pentel Technical and Pentel Energel needle tips are our tools of choice. They are almost completely improvised with only minimal pencil sketching if any.
