Poetry reading by Charles Bernstein, Elaine Equi, and Geoffrey Young
Charles Bernstein, poet, essayist, theorist and scholar, is a foundational member and leading practitioner of Language poetry. His critical writing includes Attack of the Difficult Poems (University of Chicago Press, 2011), among many books of poetry, including Girly Man. He teaches at the University of Pennsylvania.
Elaine Equi is the author of a selected poems, Ripple Effect (Coffee House Books, 2007). Widely published, her poems have appeared in The New Yorker, American Poetry Review, and numerous volumes of The Best American Poetry. She lives in New York with her husband, poet Jerome Sala and teaches creative writing at City College of New York and The New School
Geoffrey Young is a poet, publisher (The Figures), artist, collector and dealer of contemporary art. His most recent chapbooks include Dumbstruck (with paintings by Daniel Heidkamp), and You Have No Idea (with drawings by Cary Smith).
