Artist's Talk in conjunction with "Travelers and Strangers," a drawing installation of new work by Lucile Bertrand.

Bertrand explores topics of travel and landscape as they relate to the movement of travelers, be they migrants or tourists. She ponders the shifting accessibility of spaces depending on the condition of their trip and the different words used to describe different types of movements. Bertrand references the true life stories of both harrowing and pleasant journeys undertaken from different provenances, and juxtaposes them with those of birds, who are allowed to travel freely.  Bertrand is a French artist living in Brussels.
